Key Stage 3 Geography Curriculum

KS3 Geography aims to capture the imagination of each pupil through a diverse topic menu.  It is an excellent foundation for those wishing to continue geography at GCSE level and a great rounding experience for those who do not.  We employ a range of teaching and learning techniques to make geography accessible and interesting to all learners. 

Our teaching units are as follows:

Y7 – Project based learning including topics focusing on Japan, Global Warming & Endangered Animals 

Y8 – Map & Atlas skills, Migration & Tourism, Population & Development, Tourism and Environmental Issues. 

Y9 – Hazards and Disasters, Chinese one child policy, Population and Development, Brazil, Coastal Erosion & Weather & Climate
