“Winton students love to dance.”

Dance is an integral part of Perform learning area.  Students relish dance and are always to be found around the faculty choreographing new routines and practising for exciting performances.  There are many opportunities for Students to develop their skills, not only in lessons but at dance clubs and ballet classes after school; at lunch times and during specialised workshops led by professional choreographers.  Students have access to a brand new state of the art dance studio at Winton offering students the very best environment for learning and rehearsal.

At key stage 3 students study a full range of dance genres which develops choreography and performance skills during their lessons. They also have the opportunity to create self-directed dance performance.

At Key Stage 4 students are offered the option to study dance as part of the BTEC Performing Arts Diploma qualification taught by specialist staff. In addition, students have the option to study dance as part of their core PE time.
